“I am the Assistant Head teacher/Inclusion Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Vaughan Primary School. I joined the school in 2015 and have found the school to have a highly inclusive and supportive ethos. I am particularly proud to work in a school where all staff care about the children’s education and their futures and will go the extra mile to ensure that all children achieve the very best possible outcomes.

The staff, governors, pupils and parents work together to make Vaughan Primary School a happy, welcoming place where children and adults can achieve their full potential and develop as confident individuals. This means that equality of opportunity must be a reality for our children. We make this a reality through the attention we pay to the different groups of children within our school family, thus providing a learning environment that enables all pupils to make the greatest possible progress and achieve their full potential in a caring, supportive and fully inclusive environment.

We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between pupils with Special Educational Needs and those who don’t have Special Educational Needs; our provision allows all pupils the opportunity to follow a curriculum specifically tailored to give pupils self-confidence through their learning and enrichment activities thus enabling them to maximize their potential and to be independent learners.

The pupils at Vaughan Primary School are exceptional and the colleagues I work with go above and beyond to ensure that pupils enjoy every moment of their learning and I love coming to work for those reasons.”
