Key Information

Welcome to our school website. We hope that you enjoy looking around. It has been designed to give you all the information you need as a parent or prospective parent, as well as give you a good feel for what life is like at Vaughan Primary School and Nursery.

Vaughan Primary School and Nursery is a very successful and popular school. Everyone works hard to ensure that the children are safe, secure and part of a friendly and caring community. The personal approach we embrace is all about valuing all our children as individuals, which is essential in terms of helping pupils achieve their best.

Ofsted Inspection

We were inspected by Ofsted on 14th July 2026 and our latest Ofsted Report Card can be viewed using the this link OFSTED Inspection Report

The report highlights the strengths of our school and identifies areas for further development. Under the current Ofsted framework, schools receive grades across a range of inspection areas rather than a single overall judgement.

The inspection found:

  • Inclusion: Strong Standard
  • Curriculum and Teaching: Expected Standard
  • Early Years: Expected Standard
  • Achievement: Strong Standard
  • Attendance and Behaviour: Strong Standard
  • Personal Development and Well-being: Expected Standard
  • Leadership and Governance: Expected Standard
  • Safeguarding: Met

For full details, please read the complete Ofsted Report Card.

Our teaching is stimulating and creative and encourages our children to continue their education outside of school to become life-long learners. We want to ignite an interest in the world around them and for that interest to lead to fulfilling and imaginative lives.

We work very hard to involve you in every step of your child’s time here. This partnership begins with a warm invitation from all of us to find out more about our school. Parents/carers are always welcome to look around the school, appointments may be made at a mutually convenient time by telephoning the school office.

What it's like to be a pupil at this school

This is taken from the Ofsted report following our July 2026 inspection:

'Pupils enjoy coming to school each and every day. They feel happy and safe here. Pupils speak proudly about their school. They say that they cannot imagine how it could be improved further. Pupils have caring and positive relationships with their peers and school staff. They know that bullying and different types of discrimination are not tolerated here. Pupils would report these behaviours immediately if they did happen, and they know that they would be dealt with swiftly by their teachers.'

We look forward to welcoming you in the near future and hope you will see why we are so proud of our school and the children who come here.
